Surprise! New Chapter! And I think that you're gonna like this one, a little bit of a forewarning, there is a small amount of blood violence in this chapter.


Chapter Twenty-Two, Part Two






A wave of darkness fell on the sleepy city of Crystal Falls, nothing but complete blackness contested against the pinpricks of light brought on by the buildings in the town square and the residential areas. It is now 10 o’clock at night.




Far, far away from the densely populated town square of Crystal Falls is where Jason and Mike are finally executing their plan to rescue the horrifically abused white stallion in which Jason already named “Lightning”. Both young men were mounted on the back of Fury riding to their destination. Jason knows that there is no turning back now.....

“J. I really hope you have a backup plan.”
“What backup plan? We rescue Lightning, you ride Fury and I’ll ride Lightning back to Jack’s.”
“But what if Lightning is unbroken? He could easily be traumatized by the abuse!”
“Why do you think I brought the lasso with me?”
“Alright then.......Faster, Fury! We don’t have that much time to lose!”





After about ten minutes of cantering across the countryside, Jason and Mike finally make it to the Cormier Stables & Riding School. At first, Mike was almost as gung-ho as Jason was about rescuing Lighting, but now that he is actually at the destination, the actual place where the YouTube videos were shot of Vincent “training” the stallions, he begins to have second thoughts. Jason, on the other hand remained totally unfazed. Right here and now was his destiny.

“Ok, Fury...you just lay low for a while...I promise you, J. and I be back soon. Ok, bro?”




Jason managed to pick the simple lock of the gate with one of his ear piercings. There was an eerie silence as Jason and Mike walked to the open huge barn door of the stables, except for the crickets and the occasionally neigh of a horse, it was all quiet. Jason and Mike looked at each other...and then did the deed.

“Mike, you stand guard here. Tell me RIGHT AWAY if anybody’s coming...I’ll find Lightning and bring him back here.”




Mike did as he was told, he waited by the door to see if anybody...a ranch hand or even the animal abuser Vincent Cormier himself came back to see Jason in the act of stealing the prized Camarillo stallion. It was getting rather cold, so Mike hugged himself with his leather jacket. Within minutes Mike heard clomping of hooves on the concrete floor, a horse neighing and Jason trying to calm him down.

“Son of a bitch, he’s really doing this...”




“Easy, Lightning! Calm down! I’m not gonna hurt you....”
“Jason! We need calm down that stallion and get out of here! What if Vincent Cormier shows up?”
“I hope he shows his face. After what he did to this horse.....Look at the scars on his flanks. Those definitely came from a bullwhip.”




“I’ll tell you when to get Fury...he’s calming down....Easy, boy.....Easy......”

Lightning realized that Jason is not trying to hurt him, and proceeded to nuzzle his neck...

“Easy....that’s a good boy.....”
“I think you should-“
“HEY! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING ON MY PROPERTY?!!?”




Suddenly, a powerful voice screamed from the other side of the stable. It came from a handsome, muscular and strapping young man wearing a cowboy hat, approximately around Jason’s age. Mike and Jason found Vincent Cormier to be a lot better-looking in person than on video, but nonetheless...his presence meant that the operation to save Lightning has failed.





Vincent stormed up to Jason and violently pushed him away from the white stallion.

“WHAT THE F*** ARE YOU DOING TO MY WHITE STALLION?!??!”
“What the hell does it look like, ASSHOLE?!! I know all about the Youtube vids and you're NOT gonna stop me from saving this horse ”
“You little punk, I oughta beat you for trespassing!”


Vincent punched Jason in the stomach and grabbed a bullwhip.





Both Jason and Mike were absolutley horrified to see what happened next. Vincent proceeded to violently use the bullwhip against the beautiful white stallion. Just the horrifying thought of small metal spikes attached to the cracker traveling at 900mph, creating miniature sonic booms, cutting open Lightning’s flesh and drawing blood was enough to make a tough-guy like Mike cringe in horror. Lightning retaliated though. He kicked Vincent back in order to keep him from hurting him anymore.

“YOU F***ING FLEABAG!! I OUGHT TO HAVE YOU KILLED!”

Vincent grabbed the bullwhip and began to viciously beat the stallion again....until....





“RRRRRRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!”

A fist collided at full force with his face. Blood erupted from the horse abuser’s nose like a water balloon. Michael looked on in surprise as he witnessed his best friend get up and punch Vincent Cormier right in the nose. Mike walked over to calm down Lightning.....




But Jason has just let his inner beast take over his body. He goes up to Vincent, pins him against the floor of the horse stall and began to senselessly massacre him with a flurry of fists. Vincent didn’t stand a chance against Jason. Every single dirty, disgusting and profane word in the Merriam-Webster dictionary projected from Jason’s mouth as he continued his rampage. Blood splattered in all directions.




Mike, on the other hand....was completely stunned at the display. Despite the fact that he has already seen Jason angry a few times, he has never seen him get violent. He realized that this was a planned attack. Did he really care about Lightning’s safety, or was this whole operation only to get restitution against Vincent Cormier for the abusive way he treated the horses? After wailing on Vincent, Mike is absolutely terrified to see Jason take a rusty and sharp hoof pick. He knew what he was going to do with it.


“NO!”






Mike grabbed Jason by the hair in order to restrain him from inflicting serious bodily harm to Vincent.

“WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!?!”
“GET OUT OF HERE! I NEED TO DO THIS! I NEED TO MAKE THIS MOTHERF***ER PAY FOR WHAT HE DID! NONE OF THESE HORSES WILL MISS HIM!”
“JASON!!!! YOU ALREADY SCREWED HIM UP PRETTY BAD! I’M PRETTY SURE HIS GODDAMN NOSE IS BROKEN, HIS JAW COULD BE BROKEN AS WELL!”




“Please....just...don’t....kill....me....” Vincent Cormier managed to wheeze out as he brought his bloody and battered form back up to a sitting position against the wall. Jason then calmed down and dropped the hoof pick as Mike calmed down Lightning.

“I always wondered...what kind of sick, twisted monster would inflict harm on these beautiful creatures? But now that I’ve encountered you, I know why you’re an abuser. It’s not because you’re ‘riding horses the masculine way’ or because you’re ‘trying to show the horse who’s boss.’....It’s because there is just nothing meaningful inside of you. You’re not tough and you’re not manly. You are a pathetic and sad human being, Vincent Cormier. You’re not man enough to pick on your own species, so you resort to beating horses..........but as much as I f***ing hate you......I do not have it within me to end someone’s life.....”





Jason closes his eyes as he controls his feelings. Mike comes up to him and puts his arm around his shoulder. Jason smiles weakly at the sight as his friend. They both look at Vincent Cormier who cowers in the corner in shame. Before Mike went outside to get Fury, Jason says something.

“I think he learned his lesson.”

Grabbing the hair certainly would work!

Great chapter and nice to see Vincent getting a taste of his own medicine.

Got him right in the mush!

He should have allowed Lightning to dump a horsepat on his head before they left for it's revenge!

Because I've been away for so long, I think I should let you guys know that I'm still alive right now, and I'm right now I'm gathering new ideas for future chapters of Fury!

Take your time, get it done the way you want it to be. With Island Paradise coming out, other distractions are inevitable!

Chapter Twenty-Three






“Ok, we got Lightning. Now what?”
“Come on Mike, use your head! We take him back to the stables where he’ll be safe.”

It’s been quite a few hours since Jason and Mike managed to rescue Lighting. At that moment, the sun began to rise, warning the boys that they need to get a move on so they can board the white stallion at the stables and bring him to safety.




And just a few moments after their arrival, the boys pick out an empty stall in the stable to keep Lightning for the time being. Lightning nuzzles Jason's broad chest, as a way of saying 'thank you'.

“It’s okay, boy....this is your new home, for now.......and you won't have to worry about Vincent Cormier hurting you ever again.”




Even though the plan was a success and Lightning was now safe, Mike still was worried about the consequences that could happen to the both of them if Vincent Cormier decides to press charges against Jason and Mike for stealing his horse.

“J....I just can’t help but think...are you sure that we did the right thing?”
“Mike....sometimes, you got to break a few rules to do what’s truly right. Were you ever taught that “two wrongs don’t make a right”? I’m telling you right now, that is complete f***ing bullsh*t. If you truly are a good person with a good heart, you do whatever it takes to make things right.”




Much later in the day, because Jason has not been riding Buddy lately for some reason, Jack decides to give him some long overdue exercise. For the first time in what seemed like eternities, Jack saddled up his old friend and took him out for a trail ride.





After their ride, Jack goes to lead Buddy back to his stall, but what he notices shocks him. There is an unfamiliar horse in Buddy’s stall. A pure white stallion which reminds him of the story that he told Jason and Mike many nights ago. It takes Jack a while to put two-and-two together but then he realizes.....Jason and Mike really were up to something.....




Jack noticed Karilla in the stable about to take Raven out for a ride. He viewed this as a perfect opportunity for Karilla to do a favor for him.

“Hey Karilla? Can you come over here?”
“You rang, Jack? What do you want?”
“Can you do me a favor, please?”
“Sure...anything.”
“I want you to find Jason and Mike and tell them both to get their asses into the stable immediately. Got it?”
“YES DRILL SEARGENT!”
“Oh come on Karilla....I just want to talk to them about something!”
“I’m KIDDING Jack!”

About fifteen minutes later, Jason and Mike went to the stables to meet Jack and after several attempts to cover their tracks; both men decided it would be best to tell Jack the truth about what happened.

“So let me get this straight, you and Jason saw this guy on YouTube that was being abusive to his horses and somehow you discovered that one of the stallions he abused was the same exact white stallion that Jason claims he saw a few days ago.”
“Yeah...”
“So instead of telling ME first, you decide one night to saddle up and go take this horse from Vincent Cormier’s ranch. But as you were doing it, you ran into the guy, he gets pissed off and whips the horse out of anger and in retaliation, Jason proceeded to beat the living crap out of Vincent, possibly breaking his nose. And not only that, you walk away with the white stallion and here he is right now.”
“That’s pretty much the story....”






Jack turned his back to Mike and Jason and growled, trying to keep his cool and make some sense out of the situation.

“Grrrr...................You do realized that this horse has to go back to his owner, right?”
“(sighs).........Do whatever you need to do Jack....and I wouldn’t blame you if you show me the door after this.”

Jason, as expected is completely shocked. Just a mere 12 hours ago, they busted their humps trying to get this horse to safety and now Mike is giving Jack permission to ship Lightning back to his abusive owner.

“Jack, before you make any rash decisions, can I talk to Mike in private?”
"Go ahead."






“MIKE, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?! YOU’RE AGREEING WITH HIM?!”
“Jason, I know you said that you don’t care about the consequences, but you knew from the START that we were gonna be breaking the law! We STOLE that horse!”
“That’s beside the goddamn point! The point is that he’s going to send Lightning back to Vincent Cormier, who is just gonna keep whipping him until he bleeds to death!”
"This was all your idea! I wanted to get the ASPCA and the Humane Society involved but NO, you had to go ahead and steal the fu--"





As Jason and Mike continued to argue, Jack suddenly butts in to continue his lecture.

“Listen!........ The only reason why I’m not firing you or reporting you two to the police is because I know you two did the right thing. I saw those videos on YouTube. Vincent Cormier can NOT get away with what he’s doing to those stallions. But I’m warning you now, it’s very probable that Vincent Cormier might press charges against you two for stealing his horse....and against you personally Jason, because you beat him up.......I already downloaded the videos from YouTube and I have them as .FLV files. It’s the only real piece of hardcore evidence against him.”
“Jack, you really are a generous and honorable man.”
“Thank you Mike, but be forewarned. You might win a potential case against him, but I can’t guarantee what’s going to happen to the horse. He might be shipped to another stable for rehabilitation."






Jason thinks about what Jack said.....then speaks up....


“If it means possibly locking Vincent Cormier up and throwing away the key, it’s a risk I’m willing to take.”

Ah, the question is will Cormier be stupid enough to risk it going to trial & the evidence all coming out in court, or will be resort to other means to get the horse back & get revenge?

Yes, it's so intense. Another great chapter!

Ooooh! I always enjoy the scenes with Jack in them.

Great chapter, Fraroc, and plenty of drama to come, what with all the video evidence and possibly a trial. I hope that the white horse will not suffer.
