Don't know about tornados and the like.
But I do think maybe a more intense version of some of the weather.
Still have normal weather
But every now and again, there is terribly thunderstorms that increase the chance of being hit by lighting, or killing the power for a while. (no electronics) forcing the family to find other ways to entertain themselves!
Or a blizzard, meaning some sims wont want to go into work, and the ones that do can face random events of either a bad something or a good something. Like getting higher on the promotion ladder for making the effort to go into work. or something...

Tsunamis should be in the broke down neighborhoods that have drifting oceans. And the tornadoes should be in the country kind of neighborhood. And thunderstorms should be in the cities
Bad weather should have effects such as lighting not wroking for a day, and plants/crops being ruined, like in Harvest Moon
