Hi, i'm new to this forum.

I am really unsure which Sims to play, Sims 2 or the Sims 3. I have all the best expansion packs for the Sims 2 but none for Sims 3 but i would buy them. I feel that Sims 3 is lacking something that Sims 2 has.

can anyone help me make my mind up?

In Sims 3 you don't have to put up with the loading screens for a start, & if you want a game where you have to wait for loading screens, you may as well play Skyrim - it's prettier!

Sims 2 is a fair enough game, but to make it look really good you need a lot of skins & mods. Sims 3 with EA made content only is excellent, although it is wise to get Twallan's mods simply to offset the bugs that EA made!

It's all down to personal preference I suppose, & there are some that still play both.

Im currently playing both , cuz Sims 2 or Sims 3 are both gr8 games.
The Sims 2 : so original , i enjoy making stuff for it cuz its more original
The Sims 3 : good graphics , but not soo original
