I just had to lift my own ban. (that's right I was banned again by the system in place).
And guess what, since then my Mod status has disappeared. Dunno

Minty, wake up and fix Ollie's account!

Your name is appearing with a line through it, Ollie. Sad
Unbanned. Sorry dude!
Phew! Now Ollie is nice bright pink. Biggrin
Unfortunately Matt had NOT unbanned Ollie as the system here shows, & he was no longer in the Moderators group (hence why he was still only on one star instead of five. Dodgy

At least we have an explanation as to why it did it.

I've gone through the list of banned IPs I included to see if this is what caused it, but although Ollie's IP jumps around all over the joint it's never come up on the lists (there isn't any for the Australian area: most of the ones I added are wild cards concerning our friends in mainland China, India & Russia that see fit to spam us) so I'm confused as to why the system decided to take a wee turn to itself.

Yay! My account is back to normal, thanks Matt and Minty!

Also is there anyway the akismet system (or whatever spam-detection system that we have in place is) can be edited? If so could it be made to only report suspicious posters instead of constantly banning random people?

Isn't this nice, the first time in quite some time, in which quite a few people have been online at the same time.
Yay - welcome back properly Ollie. Yes it's nice to see folk online, although I must go now.

See you later.Yes
Bye-bye.
