Maybe when you move your Sims family to a different house, you can actually go along and they have to stop and get food, gas, etc. Just like when you really do move. Maybe you are able to move from one neighborhood to another. You have to unpack boxes with all your furniture in it and stuff like that, just like you're really moving.

Good thinking! It's stupid when they move they go into a bin then magically go to a new house. Tongue And one time I was thinking about moving them to another neighborhood, I've always wanted to do that.
I know, I agree.
you can move sims to another neighborhood you move the house they're in to the lot bin and then put the house in a diffrent neighborhood
in the sims 3 there will only be 1 neighborhood shiped with the game
but the boxes thing will be nice you could move with items (i know you can put them in the sim's inventory but that's not the same) and maybe a moving truck could come insted of just a taxi
This is a quote from Rod Humble.

The world will be less structured. You'll have much more freedom to wander about and build things. This will be echoed in the unconfirmed but inevitable expansion packs.

"The fact that it's a seamless world means that eventually - not to give away too much of our expansion pack strategy, but in theory - The Sims 3 could expand into an entire seamless world," suggested producer Rod Humble. "You can imagine a Sims country which you could just live your life in."
