I think you should be able to make these neighboorhoods
Ghetto-ghetto gangster sims with guns and big rimmed cars(so much fun)
Suburbs-nice peaceful neighboorhood,kids playing,stuff(could get boring)
Trashy-trash and homeless people everywhere(just pure sad)
Gay-full of gays and lesbians(just pure weird)
Churchful- alot of chrisitians and holy stuff everywhere(nice but can get pretty boring)
gang-GANGS EVERYWHERE(sorta scary)
well thats it so name some of your own!!!
if u got one type of neighbourhood then you have no other choice than to make a sim with the traits that fit in, which takes away all the fun. i don't want a nice sim getting shot or an atheist being banned by christians or something like that. it just takes away the variety in the game. people in the real world aren't all the same either, that would just be boring and we'd all be dead by now or not even born

Churchful- dunno. i play a game called harvest moon which is this cute + simple farm game.
they worship a faerie thing called the harvest goddess. Sim God/Goddess? or maybe a llama figure. but not christianity or anything. and calling it 'church' would be a bit much.
gang- ROFL i'd love this but it would get super annoying after a while
