Like, when I'm looking at the list of threads, and I click on the link to the last page of one thread, it'll say 'the specified thread does not exist' or something like that, and I have to edit the URL to the page number prior to the one I attempted to access. It's weird and happens all the time to me.
yes it happens to me too and I want that explained because I don't know why that occurs Tongue
Yeah it happens to me too. Sad
Yes, it happens all the time, so when you are going to post in a thread, you need to click the "last post" button to be sure you get onto the correct place.

We've complained about it until we're blue in the face. Dodgy
Can someone give me an example please?

Okay, here's one, the Great Finds thread.

Go to the General Sims 3 Discussion thread here.

http://www.simsforums.com/forumdisplay.p...=10&page=1

Next try clicking on the number of the last page indicated below the thread title, which currently is page 5.

It will take you to this.

"The specified thread does not exist."

You have to click on the last post link over on the right side to get to the last post - taking you onto page 4. Although it shows there's a page 5 on the bottom bar, it doesn't exist.

The forum system appears to setting up a link to a new page in anticipation of future posts whenever you get to the end of a particular page, but without the page existing at that point it creates a dead end. The result is that the unwary may think the page has been scrubbed, deterring future posts.
That's weird, when I'm logged in I don't see the '5' link, only goes up to 4. Although when I log out I can see what you mean!

I'll take a look.
I've done something adminy, has that fixed it?!
Yes, that's fixed it.

Thanks Matt!
You're more than welcome! Sorry for not fixing it sooner.

If there is anything else like this let me know.
