The show lasts 1 hour 30 minutes. How long does it take to crash a plane exactly? Couldn't they have asked the Japanese air force for technical advice if they didn't know how to do it?

I just watched the impact clip of it and found it quite interesting, I must say I'm a big fan of the show Air crash investigations. I can understand it running for an hour hour or half an hour, but I really don't think it needed to be 1 hour and 30 mins long.
