Custom Content on TS2

Well..
As my computer is rubbish.
I can only download sims and objects from http://www.thesims2.ea.com
And I click on these really fashionable Sims 2 websites.
And i try download some clothes.
..It doesnt work
And I get really P.O

Help Me Peoples !!

What do mean it doesn't work?

When you download them, they are most likely '.RAR' , '.ZIP' or '.package' files.
They aren't whole sims, only parts like hair, clothes or makeup.

Most clothes require a 'mesh' too. This happens when it isn't just a simple recolor of one of the clothes that came with the game.
They are made from new 3D objects and you need that certain 3D mesh for the clothes to work.

If they are zip or rar files, you need a program like WinRAR to open them.

Then you put the '.package' files into My Documents/EA Games/TheSims2/Downloads.
