Sneak out problem

Hey ya'll!  Well, one of my teen Sims wanted to Sneak Out with another Sim. I checked its description and waited all night long, repeatedly clicking on the phone to check if Sneak Out was available.  It wasn't at all. I know relationship shouldn't be a factor, as both of them are in love, so that means over 70 lifetime, right? Do you have to be Going Steady or something?

if i remember correctly the "sneak out" option is available from 10pm and the friend will come by in a car at 1am so the option is available until somewhere between 12-1 am

no you don't a teen sim can sneak out with any other teen sim s/he knows

Well, I'd been checking between 9 and 12. It still wasn't there.

I think you have to be somewhat romantic to sneak out or ask permission....

You don't have to be romantic. Sneak out is a friendship thing. It doesn't do anything for romance whatsoever.

Are you sure that there weren't any factors that would prevent the option from happening? Like, were they in a different household?

If they weren't, and you don't know any other teens, the option wouldn't be avaliable.

could you have downloaded something that would  interfere?

I've downloaded the inTEENimater, but I don't think that's the problem, as they can still ask for permission.
