In 2010, Nichola Thompson set foot into Sunset Valley, with nothing but her blonde hair and her high heels to boot. She has been given a mission, pass her genepool through ten generations and achieve total happiness in the process. This, is her story.

I'm excited about this! I may need pointers for a legacy with TS3, but I hope it goes well! I'm working on this now as we speak!

[font=calibri][size=10pt]Hey everyone! I spent a little while doing this first update, so I hope you do read it and please, suggestions and feedback most welcome. Now, I hand you over to our founder, me.

I hate Mondays. And mornings. Who invented these anyway?! Oh, sorry. You're the documenter aren’t you? Well you picked the dullest person to follow, nothing ever happens in my life. My name is Nichola. I was told as a child I have some weird traits, they were described as Natural Cook, Frugal, Green Thumb, Workaholic and Schmoozer. Which makes sense; I've always wanted to be a top chef.

I've recently moved here to Sunset Valley, my house was a steal! So cheap, and its on the beach front. I couldn't think of a better place to live in. My best friend is my next door neighbour Clare Ursine.

I've picked up a wide variety of hobbies here; I go to the gym at least three times a week – however the real reason is that I’m secretly man-hunting. I never told anyone, but I’ve longed to be a mother, and I’m at an age where now is as good a time as any other. Sadly, nobody seemed to fit my high standards.

My home is my sanctuary, literally. I start every day with my favourite drink, a strawberry latte before pulling my hair into place and putting my ill-fitting glasses on. I always despised the things, but I have nothing better to wear. This morning, I was coupon hunting in my paper and I found a 50% off one for guitar lessons. I’m still looking for a job, so I decided to just go for it.

My lesson was in an hour, but I arrived early to get a feel for the place. Casually strolling, the sweet sound of my favourite acoustic song ‘Wonderwall’ hit my ears. It was well played. I turned and saw a young man, putting his heart into it. It was strange of me, but I had the urge to just talk to him.

“I’m Nichola” I said casually. Smooth, I know. “Nice to meet you Nichola, I’m Liam. How are you?” I began a full blown conversation with him, turns out he’s lived here all his life, and was willing to show me around the place when he had spare time. Common courtesy doesn’t take much these days.

“This will sound weird Nichola, but can I get your phone number? I’d love to give you a call sometime” he asked. How could I refuse? I gave him my number, and went to my lesson; I was already fifteen minutes late. “Call me” I said casually.

As I walked into the theatre, Liam went back to paying his guitar. I swear, I saw him glance back at me as I went in. It was nice to be noticed, and I hoped he would still be there when I came out.

Sadly, he was not.

But true to his word, he called me later that night. It was strange over the phone, I felt much more comfortable talking face-to-face, so I invited him over the for dinner tomorrow night. I was more excited than I should be.

“Sorry about the food, I should’ve been more prepared” “Don’t be stupid Nichola, its fine”
It wasn’t going as well as I’d hoped, it was a little awkward. Maybe this wasn’t such a good idea after all.

“Is that your guitar?”

“Oh, that. I used to play as a kid, I’ve kind of forgotten most of what I knew” I admitted. “Don’t be stupid, pick it up and I’ll help you”

“Like this?” I asked. I had no idea what I was doing. “No, hold it a little further up, like this” He said, as he moved his way closer to me to help. His body was touching mine, it was a perfect situation.

Neither of us said anything, but all we did was kiss. Just slight and tender, it was a perfect kiss.
“Wow, I wasn’t expecting that tonight” “Me neither, Its been great but I have to go, I’m sorry” said Liam.

I walked him out. This was the right thing to do, but for some reason it didn’t feel right.
“Liam wait” I shouted. He turned around. “What’s up?”

“Would you like a cup of coffee?”

It was the cheesiest line I’d ever come out with, but I wanted to be with him. This was so morally wrong, but I didn’t care. It felt so right. That night, we made love.

As I held his hand, I knew he was the one. I fell asleep in his arms, and I never wanted to wake up again.

The following morning, I woke up alone. “Liam?” I questioned. No sign of him in the house. I’d been jilted – it was horrible. Still, it was a one off and nobody was to know. I got on with my day like it was any other. I’d landed a job at a restaurant, so I needed to read up on my cookery skills.

I met up with Clare after work. It turns out she was pregnant! She wouldn’t tell me who with though, so its a mystery. She has the strangest craving for pancakes and ice-cream. In fact, so did I. It did sound yummy... uh oh.

A pregnancy test and a trip to the doctor later revealed I’m going to have a baby. Sure, it was what I wanted but it really isn’t the way I wanted to do this. I stood in front of the phone. This would not be easy.

Luckily it was his answering machine. I had to leave a message. “Hey Liam, its me. I know you probably don’t want to talk to me, but I’m pregnant. Give me a call if you want”

Over the next few months, Clare was my rock. She nursed me, told me everything I needed to know and took me to the doctors. I felt my little nooboo growing inside of me, and each day I was more and more anxious to meet him or her.

Still, every day I knew something was missing. This baby needed a daddy. Reading the next chapter of my pregnancy book, I was interrupted by a huge knock on the door. “Hold your horses, I’m coming!”

Nothing prepared me for what I was about to see. “What are you doing here?” I shouted. “Nichola. I’ve been thinking about you so much. I got a job, I sold my car, I want to do anything for our baby”

“What are you talking about...” I asked. He caressed my stomach. “I did everything I could, to see our child grow up well”

“I thought you jilted me” “I was scared, but I don’t want to be anymore. I’m ready to be a dad”

As my pregnancy progressed, Liam was by my side every step of the way. We told each other that we loved them every day, because the truth makes everything worthwhile.  With the money Liam had,  we started getting things ready for the baby.

We were on a walk in the park; I was eight and a half months gone at this point. Its strange, but i didn’t feel like I was pregnant anymore – just fat. In a world of my own, I almost blanked Liam out as he got down on one knee and proposed to me. “I want us to be a proper family” he told me. I of course said yes!

We had a small wedding a few days later, with a few of our friends invited. I took his name of course, tradition. It felt right now, we were very soon to become a proper little family.

My suspicions were correct as I went into labour the same night. I was a little scared, but Liam remained calm about the whole thing. He knew what to do, and rushed me to hospital straight away.

A few hours later, I was a mother! I had a little boy, and we decided to name him Reece. I was so happy.


Okay, that’s it for now. I’ll work on chapter two if anyone would like me too. Throw suggestions my way if you have any!
