KICK a$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$! Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

They may be decrepit and need proper haircuts but still blew the younger bands there away! (Coldplay, ha!)

Can't wait for the tour next year!
huh...

The old Scottie gets, the more he looks like a Doctor Who from the original TV series! Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

The Waterboys are probably best known for the singalong song "The Whole Of The Moon" (which was a hit twice - and was famously butchered by Graham Norton in a classic episode of "Father Ted") and "Fisherman's Blues" (the theme tune of that wonderful film "Waking Ned" about the village trying to get the rollover lottery jackpot from a neighbour that died of shock when his numbers came up).

Half the band famously split because Mike Scott wouldn't do Top Of The Pops and formed World Party, who had even bigger hits with "Ship Of Fools" and "She's The One" (later a No.1 for Robbie Williams)

They've been gash for over ten years when Mike had a funny turn and started pretending he was either Irish or a New Age hippy up at Findhorn and making the sort of records people in Old Folks Homes or vicars would buy, but have finally come to their senses and come out with a good album getting lots of TV and radio coverage.
