I don't know if thats a good title for what I'm describing but judge for yourself:

So anyway, when sims look into a mirror they have all this makeup that's just MAGICALLY available to them. I think they should have to buy it, and everyone has their own personal makeup. This could also apply to jewelry and clothes. It would be super cute if a little kid went into her mom's makeup and borrowed her lipstick.

This would also add a little more dimension to family interactions. If the mom came in, she would snap at the girl or just laugh it off depending on her traits.

I want a lot more to family life! Siblings covering up for other siblings, or ratting them out. Husbands promising their wifes to do stuff and then forgetting etc.

All of this seems like it would be really easy to incorporate into the game as well.
I think that would be amazing. The little girl (or sometimes even little boys can't resist some makeup lol) trying on all mummy's make up sounds so cute! And I think it would be nice that depending on the mother's traits, the punishment would be a different. Like, if she's very strict then like you said, she could snap at the little girl and send her to her room or something (I'm also hoping that Sims will have a knowledge of which bedroom and bed is theirs, so they won't go sleeping in random beds all the time) but if she's very kind and relaxed she indeed could just laugh, and it would be awesome if Sims could take their own pictures, so then a picture could be taken of the little kid and then ordered (like you can do in Bon Voyage) so you can frame it in the house as a memory of her little kid-ness lol. And when she's older the teen girl can either be embarassed by the picture or find it funny.

And I love what you said about the siblings, I definately want them to be able to have different relationships. Like, if we have sibling Sims that are good friends, then they could always look out for eachother and stick up for eachother and like you said, covering up for eachother. But if you have sibling Sims who don't get on well, they could always be pranking eachother and annoying and irratating eachother, like they do the noogie in TS2, they can do random annoying things like that.

And what you said about the husband promising the wife he'll do something and then forgetting put me in the image of a lazy, male Sim who likes to sit on the sofa and watch telly all day. I know you didn't mean this, but it would be cool if like, the wife could just get so annoyed by her lazy husband who just sits there day after day doing nothing while she cooks and cleans and looks after the children, that she decided to get a divorce (if they hopefully add that to the game) or that she doesn't divorce for the kids sake, but their relationship is never very good and they are not particularly romantic together.

I hope everything I said made sense because I'm not very well and have an extremely painful headache so I can't really work out if it makes sense. Sorry if it doesn't!

Phew, I'm done. Big Grin
Yea I would LOVE those things to be in the game! And I really think they could easily add them. For instance the mother daughter make up scene would be similar to how a sim catches someone cheating. When the sims views something happening they have a response, only you would have to program different responses in.

And with the new dream and promise system, you could just apply a smaller scale one to relationships. Therefore when the husband breaks his promise to his wife by sitting on the couch all day (haha, stereotypes), she loses relationship points with him. Of course only a small amount.

From what I've seen you post I think we have very similar simming tastes. Wanna make our own game? hahaha
To be honest, I think they could easily put a lot of the things we want in the game. I think it's just a matter of which to chuck in, and which to leave out (possibly for later editions of The Sims). These guys are talented, with technology these days they can do practically eveything, but then it would take so much space up on our computers that we wouldn't be able to have another single thing on it. :Smile So I understand it's not all going to fit in there. But they better be picking up on some of our ideas. I hope so! Smile
And I understand how you mean about the new Dreams and Promises system, I think that would be great if they added a smaller scale one for relationships. I like that idea. And I'm totally looking forward to this new system, it seems a lot better than the Aspiration System.

Lol, sorry I haven't actually noticed if we have similar Simming tastes, that's no offence to you in anyway, I just don't notice things in general to be honest. Everyone tells me that. :Smile But, if we do have very similar Simming tastes, sure! Let's make our own game! Let's get started! *grabs pen and paper to make notes on our game*

I wish it was that easy lol! Big Grin I really wish I could make TS3 with Maxis! But I guess there's always TS4, or maybe TS5! I'm not old enough currently. Wow, I don't want to even think how good TS4 and 5 are going to be...
I love all of these ideas!
I love these ideas and I've been saying them before about like Parents having different parent styles so that they create better family interactions and that works for siblings too Big Grin
I also agree with the bed thing I mean I realize it's cool that they made it so they have a memory of which bed is their's but why don't they just let us click on the bed and say this is your s and this one is yours it's so much simpler!

Now that sure would make things a lot easier. I hate how they always sleep in whatever bed they want. They could sleep in all the beds, they die, and have memories of each bed so you can't move them without them haunting the house, or being ghostly and mad.

It kinda would be like the dorm room thing, but just for a bed.
ya but I mean they could do it for the whole room too so that one sibling won't start chilling in the other siblings room without the one sibling getting mad or even with how they'll bring homework home and put it in the desk of their sister's instead of their own

Or on the floor!

The room idea works too. With the dorms though, the problem is that the parents can't go into the room if it is claimed if I remember right.

Ah, this reminds me of the college dorm I tried to make. It turned out good, very uniformed.
wow yeah my mom yelled at me when i was little for trying on her makeup lolĀ  Big Grin
