i think it would be cool if dssims would be able to have genetics from a great-grandparents or grandmas. It made me so mad that somethimes when the mom has blonde hair and the dad had black hair, the hair would always end up black, What if you could mix genetics causing brown hair. It also irritated me that when sims had brown eyes and they had a baby with a blue eyed sim the baby would always end up with brown eyes. maybe they could have hazel eyes?they definently need a new variety of genetics! tell me what ya think

thats a rly neat idea
the sims 2 does that. my sims parents both have black hair, but my sim came out with red hair just like it's grandfather. so it's very random.
Well, I agree.
My dad has blue eyes and my mum has brown eyes. For some reason, my eyes came out hazel. Blue and Brown don't make Hazel, but I like it!

but u are right when u say ther should be more nuances in genetics, about hair, skin color n' eyes it 'd be awesome!

I love this idea..the genetics in the sims 2 sucked. They were so limited. I want more. I expect that in the game. The cas could improve wayyy more. It sure needs it.
Well, I agree with what everybody said about babies inheriting their grandparent's (and further before) genetics, because my certainly do, perhaps even more so than they inherit their parent's. It sometimes kind of annoys me though.
But, other than that, I agree with what you said about being able to mix eye colours to create a more unique eye colour, such as hazel and amber and violet etc. Good idea!
Genetics in real life don't really work that way, you can't mix two eye colors or two hair colors and that's it, it's all about dominant and recessive genes, it would be cool to have that in the game, BUT it's pratically imposible, it'd take too much to make it work.
It could work..They as creators have enhanced alot. so we might see something similar.
maybe if you have a sim with dark brown hair and a sim with blond hair their child's hair could be light brown
i would love to not have just one tone eyes
like if a sims with blue eyes and a sim with green eyes had a kid the kid shouldn't have green or blue eyes the kid could have some sort of a mix between blue and green eyes
