All this waiting (still another year ahead of us) has gotten me to thinking if we can even handle the game when it comes out. There are going to be so many new things to get used to. I think we made the transistion from ts1 to ts2 but I'm not sure about this one.

The sims games have always been sort of "multitasking" games. Taking care of a sim's needs, work ethics, skills, (thank GOD they are hiding the majority in ts3) a whole household, including other families.

Now in ts3 you will be watching a whole neighborhood unfold before your eyes, dealing with your sim, their traits, their spouse and their offspring's traits, skills, etc. Lucky for us EAxis is helping things be less managable by hiding some of the "needs" and helping the neighborhood age along.

With all these things going on, do you think you will be able to get a handle on your game? I'm starting to think that one base neighborhood is actually a great idea with all the things that will be going on. For those control freaks (partly like myself) who keep free will on, I have the feeling I'm going to be using the pause button a lot more then I think. The "hand of God" also sounds pretty good, I think we may need it ;D
it sounds like alot to get used to i agree.
its scary in a sense but i love it..and i personally have thought one neighborhood sounded like enough considering everything like you said.
it sounds so..amazing.
so completely different. i cant wait. it sounds almost hard..
I keep free will on too, I can't seem to handle my Sims without it. Wierd, huh? :Smile
But, I do think we can handle it. Everything always looks and sounds so difficult at first, and I totally see where you're coming from. But I think we'll get into the swing of things quickly and easily enough. Wink
freewill? i believe i always had it on..didnt know you could turn it off..but i want sims to think for themselves a bit..
it would be helpful..especially in this game because i'll be as new to the idea as they are as sims lol
they will look to God for everything..oh gosh maybe i cant handle it thats alot of responsibility
i feel like bruce almighty

Haha, the last comment made me actually lol. Big Grin But the free will, I agree too. I think I like it when my Sims think for themselves a little, too. I only seem to use it in desperate situations. See, if it had not been for free will, I would not have discovered that Sims can wash windows! ;D
what??? sims can wash windows?? my sims NEVER have that much free will in them darn lazies
Yes! Big Grin I had a picture somewhere, I got so excited I took about 10, just of my Sim washing a window. :Smile I'm glad I did, too, as it has not happened since. If I can find the picture (I have so many so you'll be lucky, but I'll have a good search) then I'll post it so you can see. Wink
how cool
lol weird but cool
never seen anything unusual in my games
I'm not sure, but if you put boolprop on and shift click I think there's an option to wash the windows. Although it might just be look through.
oh weird haha i never tried it on the windows.
