So as we are all anxiousley awaiting information, I started to think about how it was way back when we were waiting for ts2. And then I started thinking about the trailor....do you guys remember that?
It had ceiling fans, playpens, a fire blowing child, a mother who didnt like to keep her shirt on, wedding gifts and all other sorts of things that never saw the light of day. That got me thinking about the pictures we have now and all the little details : slippers, toliet paper etc...
What do you think the chances actually are of us getting that stuff?
I think there's a big chance.

I mean, yeah, we were a bit bummed out when we didn't get all of those things but the actuall concept of that trailer was to promote the fact that sims age.

The graphics on that video look similar to what the sims 3 sims look like to me.

Like you said, slippers, I saw toilet paper rolls, pictures in picture frames not just on the walls, cabinets. Everything looked really realistic and comfortable.

I'm positive we will be getting pretty much everything we could want in this game.
i think the toilet paper roll ws cc. i downloaded some a few months ago.(if u r talkin bout the comparison picture on http://www.snootysims.com) ???

we're talking about the tp in this pic http://www.snootysims.com/thesims3/thesims3-27.jpg
and you could download tp in TS2 we were just speculating if it'll be in the TS3

anyway i remember that what got me most excited about the sims 2 trailer, other then aging was the fact that we can built more then 2 floors and we got that
i don't care that much about the little stuff like slippers or cupboards, they are just decorations and i don't decorate my sims' houses that much and my walls are always down so i won't see the cupboards anyway...
I think it would be kinda close to the sims2 because the people still look cartoonish but more....alive. but then again there could be more things up ahead that will surprise us Wink
I'm pretty sure even with the walls down you can see the cupboards because they can be interacted with. Just like if a TV was on a wall, you can still view it.
I think we'll get what we can see now. Smile

Over the years, EAxis has learned to PUT THINGS IN THE GAME THAT ARE ADVERTISED!

(like with that FT golf slihouette thing, on the main page of TS2.com, that got taken off when people started talking about the possibility of golf on FreeTime)
Yeah, I notice they show things that will and will not be in the game lol.

Advertising, that's all it is.

Its called the bait and switch, sales peeps do it all the time.

Bait ya in w a nice screenshot so ya buy it, then switch it on ya and before ya know it you don't see it while playing, but its too late to take it back or complain really, ya already bought it!
I hope so Smile
haha well, bait and switch maybe.
but, with a game, maybe they decided against those things after the trailer was already out.
not much they can do about it.
ive seen a couple movie trailers that have parts that end up being cut out of the movie entirely.
i really can't wait to see a good sims 3 trailer though.
:]
