ok, so, the other day i was thinking about something.
everyone here knows that when you load your neighborhood you then pick a family to play and it loads their lot.
simple, got it, okay.
but, in the sims 3, its seamless. so im sure you pick a family, and go.
easy, right?
except, i wonder how you select a different family to play?
im sure itll be obvious when we purchase the game [which seems like a lifetime away]
but, anyone else curious about how thats going to work?
it made me realize that whole blue bar at the bottom of the screen is going to be different.
moodlets, only 3 motive sliders, etc. its going to be so different.
itll still be the sims, but, on a whole other level.
i cant wait to play and see how it all works out.
a lot of screenshots, but of course, no bar is shown. hmmmm.

random pondering.
anyone else pondering things like this?
curious about certain things that arent really one of the huge fancy new features?

You know, that's a good question.
Well, I reckon you will get a choice menu that resembles the one you see when your Sim is calling friends. You will get a wide window with avatars of all Sims in the City. And you will be able to sort this list, like alphabetically, by interests, by friend status, by family relations and so on and so forth.

I think that would be cool. Especially because now, when I know there's something up with Sim A in some place, I can switch in mid game and make Sim B walk by and then switch back again to Sim A and see what happens. Wow. That would be great for story telling. So I hope they'll go for that sort of solution.
you know, thats a good answer.
haha.

yeh that would be cool, a menu like that.
i just want it to be organized and informative.
a lot is going to be different, i hope itll be very clear and simple to figure out.
of course i plan to play it for a couple days straight when i buy it, so ill be an expert on pretty much everything in due time haha.

i wonder if when you switch in game [if thats how itll work] if youll have to save first, so everything you did with your characters will be saved, and then move on to sim B. couple be time consuming haha.

though i dont care because its seamless.
and ill love it even if its a crappy game, which it wont be haha.

addiction is bliss.

That point reminds me that some Maxi person (damned if remembered which one) mentioned saving slots for alternate story lines. Well, that seems to make everything complicated. I hope they'll manage to keep it simple though.

Aside from that, I'm sure I'm going to love the game. There are going to be loads of new possibilities and I can't wait to explore them all.
no kidding.
i keep thinking of things i would like in the game, but it would be too complicated.
something i like about the sims is i always have a family or two that my sole purpose with them is just raising them and keeping the family line going.
i enjoy simplicity sometimes.

i agree, i cant wait.
the possibilities even with just the sliders in create-a-sim or the traits are enough to keep me excited for a long time...
