Okay, so I have a quick question for anyone whose owned and/or been on other forums made by other than this one: What software do you like the best?

I've used Proboards since 2004 for my roleplaying board and I'm going to create a generation 2 of it (hopefully *crossing fingers*) and I've also used XMB or whatever that is called and I hated that one. I didn't like the user feel of it.

So anyways, what kind of forum do you like to be on as look or anything goes really? It could either be something you download and host yourself (I have a domain name and TONS of space) or something already hosted, but its has to be free.

Ok, I have used;

InvisionFree, Invision Power Board, vBulletin, PhpBB, Proboards, SMF, MyBB & ZetaBoards.

I would say out of all them, I like vBulletin the best. It has so many awesome features. Too bad you have to pay for it though, but when I was admin on one...I loved it.

I don't really know the names of all of them, but my fave is easily SMF.

I love vBulletin! But I absolutely hate how you have to pay for it. Gah. What's your second favorite?

Actually, I'm leaning towards SMF. I love the feel of it and everything. Plus you can customize it which is a plus

this is my fav type, since all of my fav forums have been with this format.

Yeah, I really starting to lean more towards SMF =D. I don't know why, but I like the format a lot. I checked out MyBB but it was just too werid, how they had the member info on the top. :/

oh, and SMF has the coolest features. it has the most things you can do with a forum.

SMF = simple machine forums which is what im on now?
