Like the title says, I was wondering if you can cancel engagements in the Sims 2. Karma for the first person to help me!

Yes you can! If they have a falling out (I forget the exact relationship status) but if its low enough (probably in its 20-30s or below, maybe lower) then you get a social interation "break up".

EDIT: According to my Nightlife prima guide, the relationship must be between -100/-100 and 45/45
