The reason I'm posting this here instead of Off Topic, is because it DOES have a LOT to do with TS2.

As I've stated MANY times on the forum, I play TS2 on my Fiance's computer, because mine doesn't work right (the motherboard is old and slowing down).  Well, last weekend a friend of ours told us we could have her old computer, which is newer and the motherboard is in great condition.  We let her take the two hard drives from my computer, and put them into her computer, but they wouldn't work.  So, she took them to her house so her cousins (computer wiz's these two guys are I swear!) could work on it.  They were able to reformat the harddrives so the new motherboard would recognise them ... AND I DIDN'T LOSE ANYTHING!

That means, when I get a Moniter finally, I'll have all my old Sim families and houses to play in again!  Which means I'll be able to move the Greenreich Family over to that computer and they'll have Pets, and Seasons, and all the EPs and SP's prior!!!!  And, if there's room, I'll be able to install H&M and Teen Stylin' Stuff onto it as well, and keep the OTHER houses I've made as well. YAY!

So, in a nut shell: I've got my computer back, I just need a moniter; I'll have all my old families and houses, some of which I remember I loved playing with/in; I'll have Pets and Seasons again, along with University and Nightlife, and Glamour Life, and Celebration Stuff ... WOOT!

This also means that depending on how much room there is, I may also be able to finally buy the two SPs I've really been wanting (Kitchen&Bath and Ikea) and the new Apartment Life EP ...

SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

I'm 27, but right now I feel like I'm 10 — I'm that excited to be getting my computer and games back!
{clap} {clap} {clap} {clap} {clap} {clap} {clap} {clap} {clap} {clap}

I know you are  {woot} I am very very happy for you!!  {yes}
awesome Majick!!!!!!
im so happy for you!!
It may be a while before we can afford a moniter, but the fact that I will HAVE the option to play them again is soooo exciting!

I'm hoping to be albe to hook the computer to my fiance's moniter and take a look at how much room is left on the drive, and maybe even get a look at the houses and families I have in the game.

I just need to figure out a way to get the Greenreich family from one computer to the other. I guess I could upload the lots to TS2.com and download them from one computer to another ... of course I should probably uninstall H&M and TSS before I do so the files won't be all wonky and go "You don't have these expansions, stop trying to install these lots!!!" when I try to install the houses ... lol.
Couldn't you just put them on a flash drive and transfer them?
BRILLIANT!

We have a Flash Drive, too.

Just ... not entirely sure how to do that. LOL
i have no idea what those are XD
they are like memory cards Wink
ooooooohhhhhhhhhh
thanks Smile
Yea... you just plug it in to a port.. save your info to it.. then take it out and put it in the other computer and take it off. Instead of saving it out inthe internet, you just save it to that and transfer it.
