I dunno to me most of these traits seem really .. not normal ..

http://www.snootysims.com/thesims3index.php?id=traits

like yaa i understand some ppl like to create rlly messed up sims but come on .. they should have more realistic and more feminine traits !! these seem so masculine .. couch potato?? rude ?? schmoozer?? grumpy?? angler ?? i dont know .. im not 100% pleased with this list !!!

*im a girl ..obviously .. 18 yrs old** lol
there's also vain, flirty, materialistic, over emotional, etc. some more typically women stereotypes. but there are also many other non gender specific ones like idealistic, shy, unforgiving, creative, dreamer, good sense of humour and soooo many more. I'm really happy with the range of traits. hopefully they'll add more with each EP

No offense, but to be honest, YOU seem like you're being sexist.

well;
i agree with Chanel;
those can be for women too. Are you saying women can't be rude or grumpy, or schmooze?
That, my friend, is sexism.
To answer your question deja, no I don't think they are sexist.

All traits can be given to both genders so I'm not too worried about it.

Hopefully when we get the last few traits for this first installment they will add more to your liking. If not, we have EPs to look forward to.

I know that they took a ton of these traits out of actual personal ads and my experience has been that more men create these ads then women. Most women aren't so bold. Maybe that answers your question. That and it seems more men are working on ts3 then women from the vid, they are taking over! RUN! Hehe.
I really like the trait options, purely because they are pretty realistic. And i dnt think they are sexist at all

I really don't understand your issue here. These traits look all very natural, very human to me. And I for one, a young female adult, have had enough of this ongoing, popular sexist controversy. There is nothing as disturbing as political correctness debates when this very political correctness is trying to intimidate other human beings for not being "normal". What kind of world would you like to live in? Be careful what you wish for, my friend, it could be a very boring world.  Smile

My Sim world is going to be a little bit crazy. Just like the real world. I love diversity. Don't you?  8)

Thanks, but I wasn't actually asking that question. I agree with you. I think there are tons of traits to choose from, so that you could create whatever stereotypical or unique sim you wanted.

A-men.
I know a lot of women who are rude and grumpy. I also know some men who are the complete opposite of the stereotypical boy.
