Hopefully they will have this option when you make the choice wether or not someone can come in your home

Like if you meet someone new...they cant come in unless you say so...

And even with a maid(maybe)...nanny...or repairman/repoman...you still have the opportunity to give them permission to come in your home..If the nanny or repairman comes to your house...they will have to knock till you answer the door..

and if you are not at home...they leave and you call to reschedule...but I hated uninvited people coming into my home...very rude..even services(except police/firemen/burglars)should still have the attempt to knock instead of just walking in your home...

what do you think
I agree.I hate when people just walk inside the house like you invited them.I think there are tons of things maxis didn't think about when creating the game.
Yeah It's like "Hey can I sit on your couch and eat your food?"
One Time in Sims 1,Frankie slept on my couch for a whole night and used my shower when he was a neighbour! {glare}
I would like a doorbell option, and I agree, I hate when they just come in but I don't fully agree.

Here are a few points.

Most NPCs (nurses, repairmen etc.) come at certain fixed hours. If you aren't home, they have to come back the next day and what if you need that dishwasher fixed now?

I guess a pop up can show up on your screen when ur Sim is at work but why the hasstle?

Those that should come over (friends who've had permission and are appointed to come over, NPCs like repairmen, maid etc.)
I hope this option is included. Sims get too much free will nowadays anyway.

Somehow, I don't think burglars would knock on your door and ask to come in. Wink

No duh Adam, what are they going to do? Are they going to ask to if you can give them the stuff, then you'll politely give it.
