After taking a good look at each picture, I noticed a couple of things about each.
First off I want to say that the lighting looks superb, I really noticed it on the picture of the boys' bedrooms and the picture with the men in the room. For example the boy who likes the plaid, he has a light on his wall and you can see the light around it on the wall, but it begins to darken further from the light. And the room with the men, its very yellow-ish in lighting and it sort of adds to the effect of the picture doesn't it?
Also the boys' beds looks rather bigger and better-sized than in Sims 2, and kind of chunkier. But look at the size of that mirror! Compare it to the sized of the boy's feet next to it. {mellow}
And the boy who likes plaid, his bedroom is very organised. I love his trophy cabinet, I hope we can actually earn those trophies and it's not just a decoration, but it probably is. I also love how he has a fish tank, a photo frame and an alarm clock all together on the end table.
The other boy's bedroom is also interesting, I like how there's a load of things all cramped together, it shows the contrast between the two rooms. His TV is close to his bed, I wonder if he can chill out and watch TV on bed too? I know they do this in Sims 2 but it's sort of robotic.
He also has a funny-looking grey plant in his room, which kind off looks like a cowplant.
Lastly I adore the view from their windows.
On to the mafia picture, this definitely looks like one of those types of pictures that EA love to set up. You can tell the situation isn't real. But it still looks extremely neat. I love how the chairs are facing in all directions. I also love the expression on the man's face, the one with the red jacket sat in the chair, he appears to be looking at the man on the left.
And then if you look at the ceiling, look at how good the lighting is and how the shadows are created. It looks brilliant!
Another things that I noticed is how even the edges of the rugs are touching. It just seems like there is so much freedom now, we can place absolutely anything anywhere we like.
And finally, once again I love the view from the doors and windows, I could imagine looking through the window and being able to see the town full of life. You can even see the waterfall through the doors, that would look so nice in action.
And finally, the park picture, my favourite.
I adore that the mum sat on the bench is waving to the little girl on the slide, that's cute. And there's birds flying together in the sky.
The park equipment also looks really interesting, I like the shapes they can play with at the top of the tower. And the daddy and baby in the sandpit, I just had to awww at that one! I love that they're bonding, like a family. It looks less robotic than it does in Sims 2 (let's face it, in Sims 2 there's not really much family bonding going on).
I'm going to repeat myself again, but I'm sure the sign on the left is in English. Isn't that odd? It's usually all Simlish-ified.
The only thing I could find to complain about is that the toddlers look a little on the big side, and so does that kid's head, the one holding the lollipop. It doesn't really match his body. I hope that his family just has 'big head' gene and this isn't the case for all children.
{rolleyes}
