Does anyone plan on adding things or themes to their Neighborhood?

I remember reading a blog about little sub neighborhoods inside of the main one.

I want a few things going on at once so I decided to tweak a few of these sub hoods as I play.

Ive been wanting to create a few retirement homes for elders. It seems in ts3 that it will be much easier to do then before.

I plan on sending all of the elders of my sims' generations to these large lots. I know we can only have 8 but I figure they will all die off eventually so when one passes on, one more can move in. Sad, but realistic nontheless

Of course I will make them nice, with comfortable single (and double teehee)rooms decorated with flowers and pretty lined wallpaper. A big kitchen, personal bathrooms, guest meeting area, pool etc.

Because you can visit people at their homes, I plan on seeing lots of kids and grandchildren visiting.

My other plan is to have a urban area, or trailor park. Run down homes and such for my not so fortunate sims. I'd like to give them a variety of traits to see who stays there for life and who moves out and up in the corporate ladder.

I want to make a desperate housewives neighborhood as well. Maybe have them merged with a mafia type deal. Have them marry wealthy crooks and  rich kleptomaniacs.

Of course further from the city ill have huge mansions and beach houses near the water for rich retirees and vacation spots.

What about you?

I tried to do something like this on the sims 2..but your right..it never seemed to workout..lol

But since we wont get to make our own nhood..i was thinking to destroy that one and make my own..but that takes too long plus..I really wont get to experience the game...

but yea i mite do the little subhoods too and create some crazy,,nice,,insane people

i think subhoods will add some land to the neighborhood as it'll only load the sims once  {woot}
as for me im thinking

Create a retro style area where the people have the fondus and high skirts and 50's diners and maybe try to make a drive-in/Diner too and the kids would be rebellious

Create an urban area with tagging and "ghetto" sims where they're all slobs and klepto's
also create a trailer park

The Rich area with the beaches and mansions

Right next to the rich area is where ill have the gold diggers (remake Dina) lol i want to remake her in the sims 3 so badly everybody will hate her after she divorced them for her money.

The oh so average neighborhood with some spice... create a nice neighborhood with a few off and different sims

Make a market like district where all the community lots are at such as clothing stores and the movies.

oohh.. this sounds fun.. but i'll play the normal neighborhood first

well for me i am first going to creat sub neighbour hoods too. so like in the town centre, that is where the not so rich people live. so there will be small houses and hopefully (if there are any) apartements. these will be where the kleptos live and all.

Then up the hill will be the mansions where all the schmoozers and snooby people live. there will be massive house and house with expensive things.

Then by the beach will be small beach house and middle classed homes.

ok..this is how im going to do my subhoods

one area is going to be ranches for one to two bedrooms..mostly for single people

The mansions are going to be in cool area where it is a comfty spot for all rich people...

Then there will be some two floor homes for middle class people to live in

By the beach will be an area where a certain race will be living(no offense, do not take this serious,im not racist this is just how my nhood is like)

And finally..since we can create wall papers and stuff...i mite try to make some house that look burnt and torn up for basically lower class people will be..it wont be that much for them to have but something

As for me, I'm going to do what I'm use to. I'm going to make a bunch of sims and let it play itself out. i got a lot from the games that way and got a lot different  stuff as well. For example i had family that eventually had enough family members where they took over the whole section of the neighborhood.

The farming place would be great for elders and familys that like growing veggies and fruits and stuff.

now that i think about how you can edit almost everything and the farming u could actually make a farm without animals though 

i have read it before on the actual site so it is not quite new
