They say with an internet connection,EA wants to put in dynamic in-game ads

numba1simsfan_imback

So with this information..does this mean this can turn out to be online sims..or is it just to put up ads for the movie theatre.etc.?

I very much doubt that there will be online Sims. They've said that already  Smile . I believe it might be for the billboards in Pleasant Valley, as well as other signs around the sign. (ps: there is a  modify post button, instead of double posting,  Smile just for next time)

I think it will make the game even more realistic.

In hopes that our sims will actually be seeing those movies and shows, and being able to buy those items, this can take gaming to a whole new level.

Just think, for our sakes- we no longer have to download custom made commercial posters, graphic tees, etc. We can see ads for food, movies, clothes that can lighten your sims mood.

As much as we hate too much of it, advertisement can be a good thing.

On the other hand, EA is going to get paid for posting ads in our game. In return, those advertisement companies will get more business and exposure because we will be seeing those ads.

That is of course, if you let them connect through your internet. I believe this is what they meant by possibly needing an internet connection. It is just an option.
I noticed in the article that the guy mentioned a Sport's Arena! I hope he's right!

The sports arena will be real cool...for like sports fans/interests..and maybe a group of graduates from highschool may want to go hangout there
I'm glad advertisements are going to be in the game, even though many people on the BBS are not...

I think it will be cool! what sims3luva22 said is exactly right. Smile

Plus, if you want to complain, we get ad's on DVD's, cereal boxes, Inside CD cases, on REAL billboards, and even on some other games (GTA, for example) and we don't complain about those. I think the ad's will bring a whole new (more) indepth-ed-ness into the game. Big Grin
i suppose we'll have to pay for these ads then
no all you do is like a click and drag like CC i would think

and it will place those ads randomly around the town

i hope we can make ads for our legacies and our own little things in there

it would be awesome
Yeah that would be really cool just to see yourself and your legacy in your town!
Wouldn't it be cool if you could put in things like Tv shows,Movies, books and real food?!
