I have tried to install Sims 2 Double Deluxe, for my girl's PC. She has Sims 2 and several expansion packs(if not all) installed. However now when we try to install it an error comes up saying "Please Insert Disc #1" It does not say Double Deluxe Disc 1, Sims 2 Disc 1, just "Please Insert Disc #1."  The disk is in the drive.  Can anyone tell me what's wrong and how to fix this?

If you have The Sims 2 and it's expansion packs installed, then there is no reason to have the Double Deluxe version.
I bought Double Deluxe 2 to get Nightlife.  Nightlife comes with Double Deluxe 2.
But Double Deluxe, if I'm not mistaking, comes with The Sims 2 base game, right?
Yes, I believe it does come with the base game.
Did you already have the base game?
Yes, Sims 2 with several expansion packs are already installed.
Then you don't need the Deluxe edition. Because you already have The Sims 2 installed, trying to install the Deluxe edition is most likely the reason it wants Disk 1. I'd recommend returning the Double Deluxe and purchasing Nightlife. You can save some money that way.
I don't think you can install both The sims 2 and sims 2 double deluxe. You have to uninstall everything and then install the deluxe version and then all of the eps because you can't have 2 base games.

Or you could also do Bat's way, which would most likely save you money.
Thanks, that all makes sense, but I was hoping to just install Nightlife off the disc.  Can't that be done?
