Dose anyone know if and when Sims 3 will come for Mac computers?
Not as far as I know, a few Mac users made posts. They were hoping you would get it at the same time as everybody else.
Chances are they'll make it compatible for Mac users as well as PC users. I mean, their track record proves they will. They did it with S1 and S2 (and SC). Why not S3?

I'm a mac user and Id say it's pretty much a definite, but the real question is WHEN? TS2 and it's expansion took a while to come out on mac because they were ported by another company called Aspyr Media. This time around things will be different. EA entered a partnership with Apple in 2007, in which they agreed to start releasing their biggest games on the Mac simultaneously with Windows. Games like Spore, which comes out in September, are already planned for simultaneous release. Seeing how The Sims is EA's biggest Franchise on the computer, I'd say it is quite likely TS3 will get the same treatment. The one issue is whether EA has some sort of contract with Aspyr that would force them to give the game to them, but this seems unlikely. The reason Mac games had to be ported was because of their major internal hardware differences. Now that all Macs starting in 2006 are Intel based the difference is only a small modification so that Mac OS can recognize and run the game as any other mac app. If for some reason Ea still ports the game through Aspyr, asuumeingly causing delayed release, I will just get the Windows version, because Intel Macs can run windows.
