When installing sims 2 nightlife I get an error message at the 93% installation:
"a problem occurred when trying to transfer the file 'TSData/Res/NeighborhoodTemplate/D001/Lots/D001_Lot99.package' from the media. Do you want to retry to copy file the file, or cancel the installation?"

Please help?
Try going here. I know it says University, but go ahead and try to use the steps and edit the steps so it works for Nightlife with disks and your specific file.

Does that make sense?
Just Keep on Pressing Retry. Happens to me when i try to install Windows Operating System.

But:

# Click the Start button on the Windows Taskbar.
# Select My Computer.
# Double-click on the C: drive.
# Double-click the Program Files folder.
# Double-click the Common Files folder.
# Right-click the InstallShield folder and select Rename.
# Rename the folder to InstallShieldOld.
# Start the installation again to reinstall the InstallShield components with the newest version.

Very Great Information Bat gave.

But InstallShield Should be UPDATED Smile for the sims3
Well I have tried what both have you told me to do and it still won't install past that point...any other ideas?
Did you check your disk? Is it scratched in any way?

You could also turn off any virus protection that you have, it sometimes stops programs being installed.  Smile
How much disk space do you have free on the disk you're trying to install to?
