what does "gone gold" mean when it comes to a game? a silly question really but i havent heard the expression in my country yet (maybe we say something else)
Gone Gold means that the final game has been completed. No more development or testing needs to be done.

'Gone Gold' normally related to the final version of the game being copied onto the master CD/DVD which then gets sent out for replication.

So when a game has gone gold, it means it's all finished being made and it just needs to be copied onto the CDs/DVDs, boxed up and sent out to the shops!
oh ok, thanksĀ  Big Grin

Oh, thank you for clearing that up.

I thought it was "going gold" the way it happens with music albums (they sell a certain number of copies to obtain that status, etc). xD Silly me.
