So I was playing the sims, and i was like "OMG that outfit is cool" so I go to take a picture with the print screen thingy (command+shift+3 for me) and then I get this odd picture..
Snap, wont let me photobucket it, but its this odd "pict" file.
Its also really green and blinding.
Has this ever happened to you, and how do you think I could fix it?

I've never heard of that before ...

I usually just pause the game, use the "Prnt Scrn" button, then minimize the game.
Then I open MSPaint, hit "paste", crop as needed, then save it to a folder I know how to find.
Then, upload to photobucket from that folder.

Are you using a laptop, or a desktop?  Maybe it's something to do with that.  And is it a Mac or a PC?

It's an Apple Macbook. It's pretty new, I've only had it for a few months (3-4).
Can't you use the in game camera? ???
I think when I tried that, the pictures came out blurry. See?

What are your graphics settings?
I have it on 1280x860 or something along that.

That's your screen resolution :3

When he says your graphics settings, he means when you go into the game and go into the Game Options panel, you can select the quality of your pictures from low, medium and high.  Your game may have defaulted to low quality, based on what your computer's specs may be and what it can handle, game wise.
Also, can you go here.

Run that program for your game (choose it). Let us know what it says.
Ooh, I see. It was on medium, so I changed it around to high. It's still not the best quality though. =/
