I am having trouble creating an apartment! Does anyone know how??? If you do PLEASE help me!!!! {unsure} {unsure} >:-(

Alas, building an apartment is on my list of things to do, but I haven't been able to get to it yet. However, The Sims 2 site has a pretty good tutorial. Here's the link: http://thesims2.ea.com/getcoolstuff/apt_...torial.pdf

The only thing wrong with that Tutorial, and it's happened to me, is you have to select "Rent Furnished" when you click on the door, otherwise you only ever get an unfurnished apartment, despite what that tut says.

Also, I think you need to use boolprop to get it, too.  At least, I did.  Maybe I have a glitched game, but just a warning that the tutorial might not be entirely accurate

The rest of it is nice, though.

A lot of players use a "Userstartupcheat" file that starts the game in Debug. Then all you need to do is shift-click on the door.
It is very handy to play in Debug mode when you are Beta testing stuff.

I gave you a Karma, I did not know about that cheat.

Can you build on any neighborhood or does it have to be the AL one?

you can build on any lot.

but if you use a beach lot then it those lots can only be used on parts of the land that have beaches.

Ok built my apartment very pleased with it.
The only thing is the cheat code did not work.
Any tips cheers
