I don't know if it is my game settings (I have everything on high) but for me in Sims 3 everything seems darker than in Sims 2. Also if I use print screen and paste it in Photoshop I have to lighten the picture to look normal. Do you have the same problem? I hope you understand my english.  Wink
Yeah, at times it does seem darker. Is it dark even when you place lights and such?
It always seems dark for me before i add lamps and stuff. Windows don't seem to make a difference o_O

Cororon

Windows almost only give a light spot on the floor.  ???

I don't know if it has to do with this, but when I use print screen on my keyboard and paste the pic in photoshop it will be much darker than it was in the game. Look at these two pics I took with print screen. It was daytime but looks like night.  ???

It looks like daytime, maybe a tad dark o_o Try taking a pic and post one before you edit then post the after-edit.

Cororon

I have edited the pics to look like daytime. If they are too bright on your screens maybe I have problems with my computer or something.  {unsure}

The one that you edited almost looks TOO bright, but the one that is unedited also looks dark xD And then since you say that you have everything on high, I can't tell you to turn up your lighting in the options... Hold on while I get my game to daylight and drag someone to the park xD

EDIT: Okay, so I got my sim to the park and this was taken at 9:55am in sim land. And I have medium/high settings.

Does it look dark to you or normal?

Cororon

It looks normal, but did you use print screen or the camera in the game?

For me it looks ok outdoors when I play, but if I use print screen and paste it in Photoshop it looks much darker. It's strange..

It's darker inside homes than in Sims 2, but maybe it's the lamps that are different and light up a smaller part of the rooms that before?
Print screen. I usually use the in game camera though.

Huh, I don't know what to tell you. Maybe its just your settings o_o. And yeah, I think the lighting is different.
Your 'dark' screens look contrasted to me, but I don't have a clue what to suggest, or if that's even right.
