Hoorah, victory is sweet, Ollie!
It's a shame you don't get along better with your sister but you're stuck with her until one of you is ready to move out, unfortunately. I'm so lucky I get along with my brother, he's so great. Most of my friends have problems with siblings ranging from minor disagreements to all out war. There appears to be a particular problem with lots of sisters I have noticed.
(Who is Shelly?)
Agree with Minty about adoption. It is bizarre to try to use that as an insult. I also have huge admiration for foster parents and wish I was brave enough to do that myself. In particular I'd like to be able to keep siblings together so that their family groups don't get even more broken.
This morning I am thinking that my head is likely to explode. Having been hit by pretty awful hayfever yesterday, I think I have to accept that I have caught the cold that 100% of my household and colleagues were reporting last week. I thought I'd got away with it but now I'm not so sure. Either that or this is the worst hayfever ever. Suppose it doesn't really matter. Either way I feel like fudging shine. No sympathy is needed, just whisky and sleep.
Edit: feeling better now. Apparently I can be cured of almost anything by the ingestion of chocolate chip brioche buns.
