So, usually when I'm Simming, I like to have the tv on, it helps distract me from the sometimes boring lives of my sims. Every now and then I listen to music, but it usually doesn't do it for me. What about y'all? Do you like to watch tv or listen to music or just get lost in the "reality" of the sims?
It's funny, I'm the same, I can't play TS3 with just the game sounds on. I have to have the TV/my iPod on as well or I get bored/feels weird. I thought that was just me tbh. xD
I can play with sounds on rarely. I have my ipod dock next to me so I put that on, but more often than none I have a DVD going or I'm watching Friends at the same time. Smile
I usually like to have Law & Order: SVU/CI on in the background. That sounds a little depraved though, murder in one ear, Simlish in the other.
ROFL. XD
Well whatever takes your fancy, right? :3
I'll just put any old jazz on. I often don't play with the volume on the game anymore, gets in the way of the TV/music.
When I played TS2, I used to read lol

However, this game always keeps me busy so I'm usually talking to friends and listening to music or watching TV, since I always have my DVR WAAAY backed up lol
Yea I listen to my ipod or my TV on watching my Family Guy dvd's most of the time. If I don't have nothing else to keep my occupied I get bored easily of the game.
Yeah, sometimes the simmies lives can be a bit like a daily grind!

I usually have the TV on or I play while chatting to bf (he is very patient). I should really pay more attention though as I tend to mmiss things - I see other people's funny pictures on threads and I think "I never see things like that" - no wonder, I'm watching Scrubs!

Happy New Year by the way.

I often have the TV playing in the back ground, some music and while my sims are studying i will get up and do little things if i know i'll be gone for a longish period then i'll pause and save the game. I do play with the sims volume on but i do alot of things away from the computer so hearing the charm for a skill improved etc is the only reason for the volume. Its not so bad in the sims 3, the sims 1 i couldn't play with the volume it made the game annoying quickly.
With TS1, I always had to have the volume down at night.

The burglar/ghost etc sound was DAMN scary! ;O
