I'm also curious about that. My PC is insanely slow. In fact, it doesn't even have a gig of ram yet. The Sims 2 was even hard to play on it. That's embarassing. :o

If I uninstall all my sims 2 games, my computer should be able to run The sims 3.

I'm just afraid ours is going to lag, crash, or do any of that other stuff that makes me go out of my mind!
My husband wants to upgrade his computer, but we're waiting to see what's necessary to play this new, jazzed-up Sims game.
Btw, as it is now, The Sims 2 crashes on our computer, but a lot of things might contribute to that (i.e. Pleasantview's overpopulation, too many downloads...). It's not too annoying, though. ~DJ

Yea, am too concerned of what the required specs will be for sims3. Hopefully the game will be much better engineered to cope with the intense resource demands & bucket loads of cc that downloadaholics currently use with sims2. Has become a pattern, like with sims1 and has followed up with sims2. Sims game is the only reason why am always upgrading frequently.

I really hope that I can play The Sims 3 on my computer... Because I just know that it will be a great game! maybe you can try putting the graphics to its lower point and some other stuff. Maybe that will work?

Hopefully it will be better processed unlike TS2! TS2 was so unrefined it needed a supercomputer to function properply! (I know I'm exagerating, but...)
