Granted, Cormac's not such a catch in the book, but in the movie...wowow. XD I say you go for it with Rupes. Age is nothing but a number, after all. Just look at Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones. 25 years difference. XD Five years isn't such a big deal, especially when you're 25 and he's 30. That's not so bad, yanno? ![]() dateline= Wrote:link=topic=7056.msg264235#msg264235 date=1250974675] Really? Last I heard it was going to be after they're caught by the Snatchers, right before the manor....maybe I should look into that. XD dateline= Wrote:link=topic=7056.msg264247#msg264247 date=1250976037] ...Mayyyyyybeeee... XD Re: Harry Potter - Official Thread 2! - b-rad - 23-08-2009 05:27 AM I dont think that that would be a good spot to end it truly XD Re: Harry Potter - Official Thread 2! - gothika - 23-08-2009 06:06 AM ![]() Bambi has joined the 'I'll marry one of the HP boys' club! Yay! XD Re: Harry Potter - Official Thread 2! - Cassie - 23-08-2009 01:13 PM Welcome to the club! XD We're really not sad. {rolleyes} LOL, Sommie, after you send it on Twitter, can you mention you & I love him? Not in teh creepy way we do actually love him in, but just, we love him and he was great in HBP or somethin'. ![]() Well in the films Hermione is better looking than intended in the books, and I guess attractiveness sells, so they wanted Cormac to be quite a looker? In books attractiveness is lesser deal because it's all down to imagination. She did get a little lucky with Krum, but the books never stated he was truly handsome, the girls all liked him because of his fame, and obviously he liked Hermione for her intelligence and personality instead of her looks, which is nice. Obviously in the film he was more attractive [I think he's so sweet, the actor ], again because of Emma and because that's what people like to see, I guess.

I mean, it leaves it at a cliffhanger, and it's about half way through the book. That's what makes it such an obvious splitting point. {rolleyes} If you split it anywhere before that, there wouldn't be enough in the first movie, and if you split it anywhere after that, it'd most likely be while they're at Shell Cottage, 'cause anything after that will be too far into the book. Buuuut...Shell Cottage isn't all that exciting. A lot of talk, a lot of decision making, yadda yadda. Not really much of a cliff hanger. As for the spot that you mentioned, Voldemort breaking into Dumbledore's tomb...I don't really think that would serve as a good cliffhanger, tbh. 'Cause then you don't have the anticipation of who will end up getting the wand, yanno? The only other spot that I think has potential is possibly at the Lovegood's place, somewhere around the time when they realize Xenophilius sold them out. But, as I said, I don't think that would give the first movie enough material. They need to balance them out. Especially with all the camping nonsense, there needs to be SOMETHING that gets your heart racing in the first movie, no? XD dateline= Wrote:link=topic=7056.msg264377#msg264377 date=1251003977] Are there t-shirts? And if you're telling Tom you love him, mind as well throw my name into the mix, if ye don't mind. XD You know, at times I wish they hadn't made Hermione good looking. Emma's hair is too nice (not to mention blonde[grr!]), and she doesn't have overgrown front teeth. Those are the two features about Hermione that they kept focusing on in the books, the ones that supposedly kept her from being attractive, I guess you could say. Honestly, I think Emma's too pretty to be Hermione. But as you said, Cassie, that's what people want. Same goes for the boys. Who'd want to watch an ugly suck their fingers during dessert? 'No, no, let's get an underwear model to do it, that'll get the audience's attention.' XD Re: Harry Potter - Official Thread 2! - gothika - 23-08-2009 09:38 PM ;___; I thought I was the only one to love Tom?! D: I kid. Mkays. So how do I fit "Love [removed],Cassie and Bambi" onto the cupcake then? XD I still have to write "Happy 22!" on it.... I need to make a SUPER one =D I actually was loosing my love for Tom...but then Cassie reassured me! ![]() <3 Re: Harry Potter - Official Thread 2! - b-rad - 23-08-2009 09:53 PM (23-08-2009 07:53 PM)Bambi Stroma link Wrote:
To be honest, I think it would work. XD
Well, I think that him getting the wnd would be a good spot because things look really bad. Voldy has the most powerful wand on EARTH! There may be a more powerful wand on Pigfarts, but that wand doesnt count XD Also, everything past that point is very important. It shows them getting most of the horcruxes, and then the Battle of Hogwarts, and Snapes Memories, and Kings Cross, all VERY important. Even though it is less than half of the book, its the creamy center of the book though. But if you split at the Snatchers getting them, then the first thing in the other movie will be then at Malfoy Manner, which seems like they are jumping into everything way to soon. But if they split it when Voldy gets the wand, they have to start in a more peaceful place, and they have more to really start with lol dateline= Wrote:link=topic=7056.msg264489#msg264489 date=1251059898]Make a whole pan of cupcakes. Like you love Tom mostest, and he's all yours. ![]() Btw, you don't need to put mine and Bambi's names on the cupcake, just in your Twitter message when you send it him, if that okay with you of course, you don't have to mention us at all if you don't want. ![]() DON'T LOSE THE LOVE! ;O Can't never give up, and 'sides, it's fun to be a bit obsessive.
