No matter how realistic the Sims series gets, it's the things like the Grim Reaper, vampires, and aliens, that make it feel sort of like theTwilight Zone and actually make it fun.  There is that thread about real world brand name items, they're fine if they are added by modders.  But including them in the base game should be avoided liek the plague.  I'd much rather a Llamaview HD TV than a Sony.

It definitely makes things interesting to make a game that looks super realistic, but has some fantasy built in to it.  That Twilight Zone feel is what makes the Sim universe great.
