The Sims wiki said that Gunther was in the educational career track as a dean.
So he couldn't had died of any experiments. He really don't look much as a snooty nerd, but looks can be deceiving. He did when he got older.
And that is freaking tight about that lady being Mrs. Crumple's niece.
