Thank you to both of you!  This is the first legacy I've ever done, I could actually get he hang of this.  I tried to make it look like it took place in 1892 the best I could.  Thank you both again!  Big Grin

Re: The McGramn Legacy - Majick - 28-04-2009 05:17 AM

You are doing a very good job with little to no Custom Content.  And we can forgive you for a lot since EA/Maxis didn't provide good clothes for story telling consideration :3  Keep up the good work, I look forward to seeing more.

Re: The McGramn Legacy - JohnColMV9211 - 28-04-2009 06:15 AM

Thank you, and now, here is another update for you all  {lol}  hope you all enjoy!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sophia imagines what it looked like the day her and John got married.  She paints this (well accurate) painting of her and John getting married.

Finally, she takes John's advice and relaxes for a little while. She's going to need it, the baby should arrive anytime now because she's in her third trimester!

Sophia just cannot let herself stay still for a long time!  John doesn't want her to work a lot in the fields, so she paints a portrait of him instead!

John finally agrees to let Sophia tend to the crops while he tends to the shrubs in the front of the house.

Oh no, looks like Sophia is going into labor while watering the crops!  John stops tending to the crops also and watches his wife give birth to their baby.  They both pray that everything goes all right.

Finally, at last, their son, Drew McGramn, is born!

It looks like John is going to have to build onto the house to comfortably fit the family!

Well, a year has passed, it's John and Sophia's wedding anniversary and they decide to "celebrate."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

More should be posted very soon (tomorrow sometime), when I get a chance.  Let me know what you think!

Re: The McGramn Legacy - Majick - 28-04-2009 06:21 AM

Fantastic!

Re: The McGramn Legacy - JohnColMV9211 - 29-04-2009 12:41 AM

here's another update....

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Meet Patricia, she's grown fond of the McGramn family, she's basically one of them.  (Keep in mind it's been a year, as told in the previous update.)

John has built this upstairs for Patricia and Drew.

Sophia seems to be having morning sickness.  Could there be another baby on the way?

She is so attached to her little boy, they sure do grow up fast!

It's Drew's birthday!  Everybody is so happy, especially John (seeing his son grow up).  Patricia on the other hand doesn't look so happy, I wonder why.

Soon, Patricia dies of old age.  It is such a tragedy to see someone special pass.

Sophia respectfully makes Patricia's bed.

She is starting to teach little Drew how to walk!

Whoop! Whoop! Go Drew, literally! (Lol)

John's teaching Drew how to talk, and of course, his first word is "Dad."

Finally, John and Sophia can understand what he's trying to say!  Hopefully that's a good thing....

Sophia agreed to potty train Drew, ah this should take a while...

A couple months later and Drew is potty trained!  Now he can talk, walk, and use the bathroom all by himself!  Man, he sure is a fast learner!

To Sophia's surprise, she's pregnant!  She's begun her first trimester...

Drew really likes to play pee-a-boo with his mom while....

...his father, John, is hard at work tending to the crops and shrubs.

Soon, Sophia enters her second trimester...

Months have past the baby boy or girl should be here any day now, she lounges outside wondering about the baby.

The time has finally come, a couple weeks later, Sophia's going into labor!

John and Drew rush in from the front porch to watch.

Well, what do ya know, it's a set of twins!

I introduce you to Jake McGramn.

And this is Jackie McGramn.

John has done a nice job of adding on to the house!

This is what the downstairs looks like now, the layout!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is some more...hope you like it! I'll post some more soon!

Re: The McGramn Legacy - JohnColMV9211 - 29-04-2009 02:20 AM

I was just thinking about giving this legacy a little break or so...stay tuned to this cause the next update will be well into the future (in the sims)...for now, i'll leave you with this teaser image!  hope you like!

(sorry, i know it's small but photobucket messed it up!)

Re: The McGramn Legacy - sim323 - 29-04-2009 02:24 AM

Can't wait
just wondering but will the time change?
i think it'd be really cool if on the 3rd or 4th generation it was the 1950's and so on

Re: The McGramn Legacy - JohnColMV9211 - 29-04-2009 02:35 AM

yeah, that's what i was planning on doing, but i'm not going to skip generations and stuff....like go from this 1st/2nd to the 4th/5th or anything cause that'd just confuse people, lol...what would you all like to happen?  i mean i kind of have the plans already, but maybe i can take some conciderations.... Big Grin

Re: The McGramn Legacy - sim323 - 29-04-2009 02:47 AM

no im not saying to skip generations
Like when the 4th generation is born everyone dresses in 1950's clothes and so on
or the 4th generation dresses like 1950's people
