If you can save up the money ($75)[BEST BUY] Maybe cheaper online. you can get a great graphics card. It runs the game on all high settings, all the boxes checked. PERFECT! smooth and no lag.

NVIDIA 9400GT 1024 DDR2  (requires at least 350 watt power supply)

You don't want to spend money on a graphics card if you can only run the game on low or medium settings. Or on high with lag.

I just bought this card a week ago, and i'm really immpressed. My computer is 3 years old, but the game runs PERFECT!  {clap}

hope this helped.  I just would hate to see someone spend the $ on a cheapo graphics card, and not get to experience the game to its highest extent!! Plus, when expantion packs come out you made need something more powerfull  {unsure}

PLEASE do some research before you post. $75 for a 9400GT IS TERRIBLE. FOR $96 you get a RADEON HD 4670 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161252 WHICH DESTROYS A 9600GT let alone a 9400!

K, will do.  Sorry...

I meant $69 dollars

Ok, so i'm not very tech-savy and it says it can't run my Sims 3 because my video card doesn't support it. Is the only way to fix it is to physically get a new card and install it? if that's the only way think i'd be able to install it myself or should i get a professional to do it?

First of all what motherboard to you have?
And you do not need a proffesional, all you do is open the case and place the card in a slot and depending how power hungry it is get a PSU cable and connect that to the PCI-E slot. It's very easy don't worry.

I wasn't rude, although I was a bit aggresive.
Its just...why pay for example $90 when a $70 item is BETTER and CHEAPER?
