RE: Favorite Singer - Cassie - 28-03-2011 10:09 PM I think you'll find that's 'any', as 'neither' suggests you're talking about two options. *curses grammar-obsessed self* I get a lot of slack at college about being obsessed with grammar. RE: Favorite Singer - serp3821 - 28-03-2011 10:12 PM I don't listen to none of these singers
RE: Favorite Singer - Cassie - 28-03-2011 10:51 PM I still think any works better.
RE: Favorite Singer - serp3821 - 29-03-2011 12:05 AM ok
RE: Favorite Singer - bobert26 - 29-03-2011 03:40 AM I don't really like any of those singers. I dislike when people can't tell the difference between there, their and they're... RE: Favorite Singer - serp3821 - 29-03-2011 03:41 AM Same here. Or when they can't tell the difference with "your" & "you're". RE: Favorite Singer - bobert26 - 29-03-2011 04:20 AM Yeah, that's just as bad. RE: Favorite Singer - Cassie - 29-03-2011 10:35 AM A lot of people complain about it, but they still make the same mistake. Even I've done it before when I'm typing fast and not thinking. But yeah, I often proof-read my friends coursework last year at college, and I wanted to commit suicide after reading their grammar and just general fail at writing. I feel really bad, but you could tell none of them had ever put their nose in a book before. I'm the only one that reads in my class this year. Again. Ya know, they say I don't look or come off initially as nerdy. Like I try to hide it. I send off mixed signals, because I don't look or even act nerdy half the time, yet I have nerdy interests. Like they can't accept that you can be a nerd but not walk around in glasses and a jumper. I see where they come from, I guess. I'm nerdy but you wont tell until you meet me, and even then you can't be sure. I sort of carry off normal and nerdy at the same time, but I let them loose usually at alternate times. So I'll have my nerdy run and then sort of cool-off and be normal again. =P I need to find my nerd badge and where it proud again. xD RE: Favorite Singer - serp3821 - 29-03-2011 08:30 PM (29-03-2011 10:35 AM)Cassie Wrote: Like they can't accept that you can be a nerd but not walk around in glasses and a jumper That's the common stereotype ![]() It's not true. I'm nerdy but in History, Cultures, and Geography. English too. I remember when this guy who was a year behind me couldn't spell simple words. I swear!!! No joke. I felt so sorry for him. I'm like good luck after high school, that is, IF you can make it out of high school with that grammar. RE: Favorite Singer - bobert26 - 30-03-2011 08:41 AM I'm nerdy in history, math, science. I used to be an english nerd in Canada, but in NZ it's just terrible. I love history though. Best subject ever. |
