No one has to choose what sexuality their Sim is. There's a cheat that allows you to find out your Simmies preferred gender. I think you do Boolprop and then shift + click on the mailbox, as I remember. I could be wrong. But there should be an option in the Pie Menu from there to find out their preferred gender. But please take this with a pinch of salt, I could have totally gotten that wrong. But there is a way. And you can also find out with SimPE.

SimPE is awesome, that's what most of the modders use, but I don't use it for anything quite so technical.
The thing I like to use it most for is changing ages. So basically, you can have a newborn baby in the game, go to SimPE, set its age to adult, and then they can do everything an adult can do! I'm talking makeout, cook, workout, go to work, it's all there! It's such a laugh, you can mess with all the age groups I think. You can get adults to crawl around like toddlers too. It's some hilarious stuff.

Who, I swore I already replied to this, but apparently not...
But no, it does not change their sizes, they same the age group on the outside, they only change in what they do. I can take a picture of it in action if you like.
