I think the whole woman in the bed moaning thing is too much. Also, for the kids/girls who will be mothers one day and play this game, even this can be a shocking aspect about birth that better stay a mistery. The purpose of the game is to be entertaining, not traumatizing.
So, I'm okay with the rabbit hole hospital.

I doubt it will be like actual child birth, probably more like those old sitcoms. They would show the mother laying in the bed and the father pacing around and then the mother comes out sitting in a wheel chair while holding a baby and the doctor's says the gender. That sort of stuff. It won't get that graphic as you will actually watch her in pain and screaming, with all blood and the... you know what I'm going end that here. They even know that's too far.

I think walking into hospital and reappearing with a baby is as real as it's ever going to get. The majority of The Sims target audience is pretty young, despite the fact loads of older people (including me) are hooked on it too - so, laying on a hospital bed and pushing? A little inappropriate for the youngsters in my opinion. I'm sure it'll never get that far {unsure}

yeah and EA im sure wants to stay as far away as possible from rasing the rating on the game cuz if the rating dose get raised then... there goes half there costumers
