I was told by an older girl about having periods when I was like...9 what it is and how it looks like.
So I wasn't surprised first time when I had it - I was 11 years and a half old - but I was kinda freaked out and told my mom, because I had no idea what to do about it!
Mom gave me pads. I never used tampons myself, I'm a bit scared of them, lol.

I don't either, I hate tampons. Pads might not be the most comfortable, but there is absolutely no risk of Toxic Shock Syndrome and that makes me happy.

That's the problem I have, too.
And if I do manage to get it in, it is sooo uncomfortable and somewhat painful.

You only get that if you leave one in for a long period of time XD
