I just took a look at the completed list - a few new ones were added and some were removed. The threads talking about the removed dragons have also been deleted ... *dances and goes to update her notepad list*
So, if what I heard is true ... dragons that have been removed mean that sometime in the next 6 months to a year we'll see them? That is sooo exciting
From what I've counted ... looks like 26 were removed! So we've got a LOT coming our way over the next year or so!!!

On Dragon Cave forums, there is a list of Dragons that have been completed and will eventually be released.
Today, 4 or 5 were added (including 1 made by our very own Earth Mama [earthgirl]!), but 26 were removed. Meaning, if I'm right, that sometime within the next 6 months to a year, those 26 breeds will be released.
This is the list - Completed Dragons Progress List - Dragons missing from the list today, but were on it 2 days ago are:

Marionette

Now, last year you could only get 2 Vamp. eggs. Anymore than that and the game would not let you. I dunno if it'll be the same way this year. They also cannot be traded between players - when you try to abandon them you'll get a notice saying they refuse to leave.
And of course there are also the Zombie dragons that players will be trying to get again - Killing a Hatchling/Adult and then trying to revive them to result in a Zombie.
My connection is too slow for me to attempt to grab any on my own. So, I have someone on DBC snagging for me ;p Another reason DBC is so awesome - You can make requests for stuff like that. I gave them 1000 credits (out of my 15K+) and am on the list of people to get 2 Vampire eggs for my scroll.
All the Mods on DBC are going to working very hard to get members at least 1, and then going back in and snagging a second for those who requested 2 eggs.

Sooo... if you snag 2 vamp eggs you will be scroll-locked. ??? and you can't get people to grab them for you, because they can't be traded. This means one thing: you should get your own.

I'm not very sure about many of those dragons listed. Like...marionette, sword, toy, patches, paint, time(i really liked this one,tho), greek, music note or others. Some don't qualify as dragons, because they have too many artificial/man-made elements to them and they probably won't ever be released. They might have been simply removed.
There have been many discussions on this subject lately and TJ has made a list clean-up.
3 of mine were removed and moved back to Progress, but it seems they were returned to the completed now.

No, you don't become Scroll-Locked, you just can't get anymore Vampire eggs. I dunno how TJ does it, but he has it set so you can still pick up 2 more eggs before you become scroll-locked - just not Vampire eggs. That's how it was last year I've been told.
DBC is asking members to make temp passwords for their scrolls so that the Mods (who have fantastic-fast connections) can log in and out snagging vamp eggs for members.
And I'll admit, I'm not too sad about some of those Dragons not actually being released - like the Marionette, Toy and Sword dragons - but some of the others would be fantastic. Especially ones like the Venom and Voodoo considering they are somewhat spooky/halloweeny themed ^_^
