I think its a rumor by how they word some things like somewhere they said "eighty year old grandma" and sims 2 sims never lived that long.

why would there have to be gradual aging to have gradual pregnancy?
besides, they already did gradual weight losing and gaining, so i don't really see the problem in doing gradual aging and pregnancy. :-\
but then again i would also adjust if EA didn't do it.

I think that gradual aging is a good bet. I think everything is going gradual - sunsets, time etc. It wouldn't make sense for townies to be bursting into their next life stage everywhere. I wonder how they'll handle death.

So far it is a rumor.
For gradual pregnancy we would need more aging.
I don't want my sims to live forever, lol!
