Are you sure about that cuz sims makes sense right off the bat since it is a simulation game ... ya no. What was it?

I don't recall, I think it might have been X Project or Project X or something like that.

They talked about it on the preview disk for Sims2 back when they released Making Magic. Sims wasn't the original name.

i wonder why they would ever name a simulation game like The Sims the x project ???

A lot of companies will give a game a "project name", run it by test audiences and whatnot, then begin work on the actual release name.
