Individual houses become bugged as well, a friend who was a Sims 1 Beta tester explained why but I can't remember the details.
Try some different houses, in all hoods. Don't give up.
I would hate to think of how many times I messed up my hoods while testing. {lol}

I'll look around and maybe contact EA...thanks again for all the help!! I go back to work tomorrow, so I won't have as much time to focus on the Sims...so sad...
