If you want to do it properly then read the first book....The Philosophers Stone.
If you don't...The Prisoner of Askaban is good. My personal favourite actually. <3

Well personally I thought Deathly Hollows was the best.
Though it made me cry. It was a sad but lovely ending.

PoA is a very good book, that when the books actually get interesting.

I love the early ones. But PoA is when they start to feel a little darker. It's like the passing of a pre-pubescent little trio in PS and CoS and onto the teenage trio in GoF. From GoF onward the story really begins to develop. But PoA like, sets to work on that. There's something about PoA's atmosphere that I really love. Plus we finally get to meet Sirius. :]
Um, I really have the urge to watch The Mysterious Ticking Noise now, followed by a Snape fangirl video. O.o
