Most Americans think we all have that annoying acsent, when most of us don't. There are actually more Asians in Australia than Aussies. Weird, ay? I traveled up the East coast a bit a few years ago, Melbourne to Sydney to Ularu to Cairns. Amazing country, best place I've ever been! Since then I've always wanted to migrate to Melbourne! It was all amazing, but Melbourne was my favorite, it was just so relaxed! I'll get there one day ![]() Oh, and I done the Sydney Harbor bridge walk, what an experience :o Re: Your Location - Rena - 10-04-2008 08:49 PM Well, i'm too young for the bridge walk I can wait another 6 years. I do go to Luna Park though, did you ever go there? There's one in Melboure and Sydney, but the Melbourne's one has a scary face on it ![]() Click for pictures: Sydney Luna Park Melbourne Luna Park Re: Your Location - matt - 10-04-2008 08:54 PM Yeah, we saw it in Sydney but we didn't get a chance to go, too many great things to do! And you have the best beaches, Manly beach was just brilliant! So basically, I love your country and I envy you ![]() If it wasn't so far away from rainy England where all my family and friends are, I'd happily move there tomorrow
Re: Your Location - Rena - 10-04-2008 08:57 PM I normally go to Bondi Beach. It's pretty much a tourist attraction. You can see many people there with cameras and their suns hats. So, what's it like in England? Re: Your Location - matt - 10-04-2008 09:02 PM Yeah, I heard Bondi was the touristy one which is why we tried Manly instead. England is ... well ... meh. Nothing to say about it really. It's got a great history and culture, but it's nothing special, but I guess I would say that after living here all my life. It's still a great place to live but it's turning into a nanny state which doesn't look good ... but I won't get into boring politics : ![]() Here's an uninteresting fact for you: Did you know that there are more people in the UK that watch Neighbours* than the entire population of Australia? * Neighbours is an Australian soap opera that is huge here in the UK, for those of you who didn't know! Re: Your Location - Rena - 10-04-2008 09:06 PM Really? I never knew that! It's also and Australian show, we have to put in more effort! Or else it'll lead to me kidnapping all the viewers and shoving 'em in Australia! I've always wanted to go to the USA and see what it's like. Or maybe even Japan, so my brother and I can get the latest gaming gear! Re: Your Location - Cassie - 10-04-2008 09:09 PM Meh, I hate living in England. I would be much happier to head over to Australia too. You'll find in most areas of England that these underclass families called 'Chavs' rule us all. They are the type that hang around at bustops, assult and rob old people, grafiti everywhere, smash up windows and posess brains the size of a pea. They ruin everything where I live. : ![]() And really, Matt? I did not know that! I admit I never watch Neighbours though, only EastEnders and Coronation Street. But England has a huger population than Australia even though Australia is about there times bigger! Why are we so over-populated. :

Isn't it "did"? Re: Your Location - matt - 11-04-2008 09:09 AM I think 'done' is acceptable, but you're right, 'did' is grammatically more accurate, thanks for pointing that out
Re: Your Location - Cassie - 11-04-2008 11:07 AM In England, saying 'done' rather than 'did' is very common. When I'm speaking, I'm probably more likely to say 'done' too. |
